PADI Women's Dive Day

Padi Women's Dive Day is coming up on the 20th of July.

PADI’s fourth annual Women’s Dive Day is on 20th July and thousands of divers around the world will be celebrating. The Auckland University Underwater Club will be holding an event for some of their women divers or you can find out what other events are going on globally here.

When I did my PADI open water as a 16 year old girl I was the only female participant and the long surface swim at Jones Bay had me struggling behind the bigger stronger men. PADI Women’s Dive Day is celebrating everyone’s shared adventure and passion for the ocean while encouraging more women to get in to what can be a very physically demanding sport.

Check out PADI's promo video for 2019.
